Reselling your timeshare
Can I resell a timeshare I bought directly from the resort?
Yes. Regardless of when or where you bought it, you have the right to resell your timeshare on the resale market.
Can I sell if I still owe financing on it?
Yes. If there's a balance remaining, it's simply paid out of the buyer's purchase price during closing. We'll walk you through how that works.
What is Right of First Refusal (ROFR)?
Some resorts include an ROFR clause, meaning that once you and a buyer agree on a price, the resort has the option to buy it back at that same price. Either way, you receive the agreed amount — the sale just completes with the resort instead of the buyer.
Do I need a real estate broker?
No. A timeshare isn't traditional real estate, so brokerage is optional and usually unnecessary. Our for-sale-by-owner approach connects you with buyers directly — no commission to a broker.
Do I need an appraisal to sell?
No. Your timeshare wasn't appraised when you bought it and doesn't need to be to resell. Your specialist will help you set a competitive asking price based on comparable listings — at no cost.
Do I need a lawyer to handle the closing?
Not typically. As an advertising service we don't handle closings — but most resale closings are done by a licensed, bonded title/closing company that takes care of deed preparation, escrow, the estoppel certificate, and recording, with the title work reviewed by a licensed attorney.
Can I sell if I've lost my deed?
Yes. The closing company can retrieve a copy of your deed from the county where the timeshare is recorded, usually for a small fee.
How long does a closing take?
Most timeshare closings take roughly 60 to 180 days from start to finish. The timeline depends on how quickly each party returns documents and on the resort's transfer process.
What happens to my banked or unused weeks?
Weeks you've already deposited with an exchange company stay yours — selling the timeshare doesn't affect them. You can use them, or include them with the sale as an added incentive for buyers.
How long will it take to sell my timeshare?
There's no way to promise a specific timeframe, and we never will. Resort, season, demand, and especially price all play a role — pricing competitively is the single biggest thing that helps a timeshare sell.
Are you a timeshare exit or cancellation company?
No. We're a resale marketplace that helps current owners advertise their timeshare to real buyers. We're not an 'exit' company — those often charge large upfront fees to 'cancel' a contract using tactics that can backfire on the owner. Selling on the resale market is the legitimate path.
What does it cost to list with you?
There's one flat listing fee, quoted on your consultation call — never a commission or a cut of your sale. Inquiring and getting a price are always free, with no obligation.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Your contact details are used only to help you sell and are never published on your public listing or sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
